1. Started your own blog. Two different blogs. This one on several different hosts.
2. Slept under the stars
. Mostly in the Carleton College arboretum as a Freshman.
3. Played in a band
. Marching bands and concert bands in high school and in the community.
4. Visited Hawaii. Lived there for five months while on sabbatical. Revisited 15 years later.
5. Watched a meteor shower. Never seen one, much to my disappointment, despite #2 above.
6. Given more than you can afford to charity
. There's a question about what "afford" means.
7. Been to Disney World. Nope. Been to Disneyland in California several times, though.
8. Climbed a mountain. More like hiked up them, but I think they count. The best were Pen-y-ghant and Olomana.
9. Held a praying mantis

Never even seen one unless you count my praying-mantis-kung-fu son.
10. Sang a solo
. In some plays, in the shower, but never formally.
11. Bungee jumped. I agree with Alan: Never going to happen.
12. Visited Paris.
If Orly counts, I've been there; Ms. Eclectic and I still have hopes of visiting Paris together some day.
13. Watched a lightning storm at sea. See #4 above

. Not that I recall. Was pretty sick a few times, though.
17. Walked to the top of the Statue of Liberty
. But I did walk to the top of the Washington Monument back when that was possible.

. Many times. Too bad this mode of travel is so expensive nowadays.

My primary transportation mode when I was an undergrad.

. As for many of us, it started as a huge snowman, but we couldn't lift the sections.
25. Held a lamb. Lots of baby pigs, but no lambs.
26. Gone skinny dipping
. We once had a pool.
27. Run a marathon
. I used to run some, but never in anything this long.
28. Ridden in a gondola in Venice. Never been to Italy.
29. Seen a total eclipse. Both moon and sun [not at the same time, of course.]
30. Watched a sunrise or sunset
. Who hasn't????
31. Hit a home run. rec-league softball where they put the worst fielder in right field. I could place my hit to that field. I.e., I never really hit for power.
32. Been on a cruise

Day cruises, but never overnight.
33. Seen Niagara Falls in person. Amazing. Spectacular. Almost overwhelming.
34. Visited the birthplace of your ancestors.

36. Taught yourself a new language. The best I can do is to try to learn obscenities in various languages.

. Enough to get by, but "human wants are unlimited".

. Whenever I'm in Houston, I think about it, but there are other things I'd rather do.
