Some Ads I Like

I have come to really enjoy watching a couple of ads lately:

• McDonald's Egg McMuffin. An enthusiastic young McDonalds worker tells Cindy Klassen (speed skater for Canada) that she gets to go to the Olympic Village to work there. "Oh and you'll be doing that 'speed-skating' thing? Well, that'll be fun too [very unenthusiastic]." Lately I have realized that McDonald's uses really bad-tasting plastic cheese (vs. good-tasting plastic cheese, which I love) on their Egg McMuffins, so I've stopped eating them.
• Capital One. I detest all the phone calls and junk mails from this group but one of their ads is hilarious. A guy shows up with his family at his parents' house to celebrate ALL the year's holidays in August because the credit card air miles they have don't work during the popular travel times.
• Advil. A security guard feels so pain-free that he pretends to run for a touchdown.Very freeing, both physically and emotionally.
• Excel, supporting Canadian athletes. The guy who "beards" to support athletes reminds me of so many true doinks I've known through the years. It is beautifully acted and portrayed.
• And one I still remember fondly from years ago for Labatt. A sausage wagon gets away from the vendor at the top of an icy hill but instead of trying to corral it, people along the way start sweeping in front of it while someone pretends to be the skip of a curling team.

I also like the Excel and Capital One ads (although I feel the same way that you do about Capital One itself).
