What the iPad-2 Should Become (assuming iPad-1 Survives the iEdsel Phase)

Following up on my previous postings on this topic, here's what I was hoping the iPad would be:

• Mac Air guts: power, reliability, speed, lightness
• twist-top tablet screen so you can use a real keyboard or use it as a tablet (I think some of the Fuji Lifebooks had this feature). This feature would also allow users to carry it with less concern about potential damage to the screen. Having to type on the screen is not at all convenient or comfortable.
• Touch screen to take advantage of all the wonderful possibilities.

In other words, I would see it as a potential replacement for my laptop, not as just an over-grown, snazzy version of the iTouch.
