A facebook friend whom I had known some years ago wrote,
I loved 2605.
Interestingly enough, I was managing an operation that created Collateralized Mortgage Obligations [CMOs] and debt backed tranche products at the same time as your main character was doing similar things. I started backing away from them when I thought there was more risk than was being disclosed. I had several arguments with some leading economists about the risk in the products and how that risk should be properly disclosed.
The book was a very emotional ride for me. I did business with Cantor Fitzgerald for nearly 25 years, and I lost several friends when Cantor Fitzgerald was crashed. But that was only part of the emotional ride. The whole book affected me deeply.
