In a fairly straight-forward honest review, my son [David Ricardo Palmer] wrote:
This book surprised me. I thought it was going to be a spy/thriller novel, but it’s not - it’s an exploration of “what if”, when you’re faced with the opportunity to start over. The protagonist becomes more likeable as the story progresses, which is a nice journey to share. The decision to pack it in when things get tough made me dislike him at first, but he’s never unredeemable. And as he essentially builds himself again from scratch, he shows strength that was very engaging.
There are several memorable characters in the novel, and a good sense of the horror that 9/11 engendered. I’d read it again and more.
The book is available in both Kindle and paperback formats from Amazon.ca and Amazon.com and elsewhere throughout the world.
