Since the geese in the area seem to like to walk all over my snowstomp art, I wondered whether it might help if I pretended to honour them by doing picture of a Canadian Goose (albeit a bit too short-necked) in the several inches of snow we received overnight.

We've been playing a lot of gin rummy and cribbage during the past year. Here's the deck of cards we've been using, resting on the edge of the table.

Oops, I guess I got too close for this one.
One of many flowers in the needlepoint cover my grandmother did maybe 70 years ago for a spring rocker.

Looking down through the frosted glass of a small table lamp. We have several of these lamps with very low power LED bulbs that we leave on all the time as night lights and ambient lighting.

A couple of weeks ago, the Premiere of Ontario issued a "stay-at-home" order that would last for a month. It wasn't terribly confining for me, but it meant we wouldn't be dining out for awhile (we hadn't been anyway) and we wouldn't be spending any time with our friends or family except via Zoom or Teams or FaceTime. We can still go for walks. We can still go for groceries (to stores that must have aisles of 'non-essential' items blocked off and must limit the number of patrons in the store). We can even buy things from many other stores if we arrange curbside pickup. And we can still order take-out food from most restaurants.
I anticipated that I would feel a sense of confinement, even though I'm not really terribly confined here in our condo unit., and so a few days after the "Stay-at-Home" order, it occurred to me that it might be fun to take photos of things in the unit in ways that capture something different about them -- different angles, different perspectives, different lighting, etc.
When I first started the project, I expect to post roughly one photo per day for thirty days. But the minute I began posting the series (here and on Facebook), though, I posted three photos each day. Up until now, I have posted 34 different photos or sets of photos.
Yesterday, the Premiere announced the "lockdown" would continue at least until May 20th. If I keep up with the pace, I will be posting nearly 100 more photos here over the next 33 days. I have a few more, still, on my phone, but I'll need to take many, many more. It will be interesting to see if or how long I can continue posting photos in the series.

A two-part floor lamp. The part on the left goes straight up, and the part on the right is a goose-neck lamp that can be bent to point in different directions.

A sparkly remnant left on the carper from the last time our great granddaughters visited.
No, I didn't pick it up; and no, I didn't vacuum it up. It's just too fun a memory, especially since we can't have them come visit us during the current lockdown.

My really old TimberLake loafers. They're cracked and covered with pollen, and I've had to fill in some spots with Shoe Goo. I wear them mostly for knock-about these days. They're comfortable and easy to slip on, but they provide zero support.

Doorstop spring. I think it's probably original equipment from when the building was built over 35 years ago. I don't remember when the rubber cap came off, but judging from the colour differences, it must have been relatively recently
