It looks as if vaccines work well in controlling the spread of Covid-19.
Compare those case numbers with vaccination rates. The countries with low vaccination rates are reporting much higher infection rates. I know, correlation is not causation, but these data make a compelling prima facie case.
The current rise in rates in our area likely has more to do with poor ventilation and the hubris of youth [note that in London-Middlesex, well over 2/3 of the cases involving new variants are for people aged 0-29, and, of course, it's these younger people who are not receiving the vaccine yet.
