This post is a bit of a deviation from most of my Lockdown Photos, but it is certainly in the spirit of the series: We're locked down; we're under a stay-at-home order. What are going to do?
One thing I did was, on a strange whim, order some Tassimo Bailey's Macchiato Latte Espresso from Amazon for some outrageous price. The feeling I had was, "WTF? I don't much care for Baileys but this looks 'interesting', so why not try it?"
The two boxes came in one package. The instructions say to run the milk through the Tassimo first, and then run the espresso.
But I thought "So what if it's morning. I'd like to add some real Baileys to the drink."
But oops. The Baileys had congealed into clumps, so I forced myself to make do with my much-preferred liqueur, Drambuie.
I put the Drambuie in the mug first and then ran the latte milk through the Tassimo. Judging from the clumping and separation, that might have been a mistake!
Three layers: watery on the bottom, cloudy in the middle, and some kind of scummy-looking substance floating on top.
Add the espresso. I love the shapes, patterns and colours. Forget all the things I might have goofed up, it looks neat:
Add anther espresso, and it's beginning to look quite attractive with all the different layers.
It tasted good when I sipped from the top, but that watery-looking layer at the bottom was still a bit of a concern.
And so I ran a Suchard hot chocolate disk on top of the whole thing. That seems to have mixed things up nicely. What's more it tastes great!
